Job summary

ProAmpac Beaverton Bag Plant in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily paper bag manufacturing operations. You will supervise a team, plan shifts, coach employees, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, demonstrated manufacturing supervision experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work all shifts in a 24/5 operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing experience required, preferably in packaging.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven track record in safety.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results through people/teams.
• Problem solving, analytical, and team skills.
• Excellent computer systems knowledge and skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work all shifts in 24/5 operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees in daily production of paper bags, plan, assign and direct work; evaluate performance; promote safety, quality and teamwork.
• Lead team efforts in safety, waste, reliability, housekeeping and quality.
• Motivate employees by example to work efficiently, safely and produce a quality product.
• Communicate operational information at all levels, both orally and in writing.
• Promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and programs.
• Administer plant policies fairly and consistently.
• Provide training and development plans for team members.
• Initiate and implement creative change through team participation.
