The role emphasizes teamwork, food safety, and reliable scheduling with a 4pm-close shift; weekdays and weekends availability required. FoodHandler/ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and knife skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting.
• Food Handler's Certificate or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to have all weekdays and weekends available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cold dishes, salads, appetizers, desserts, and pantry items to menu specifications.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation following FIFO standards.
• Ensure pantry station is stocked, organized, and ready for service.
• Collaborate with line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely service.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with prep work, portioning, and mise en place for daily service.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership regarding inventory and supply needs.
