Job summary

Salt Lake Community College’s Bruin Pantry Network seeks a part-time Bruin Pantry Specialist to support operations across campus pantries. The role involves receiving, stocking, and distributing food and hygiene items to students, staff, and faculty, with weekly driving of large-capacity vehicles.

You’ll assist with inventory, tracking expenses, and communicating pantry policies while delivering welcoming customer service and collaborating with campus partners and volunteers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work 26–29 hours per week.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements.
• Must have valid Utah driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate professionally with diverse groups.
• Experience with inventory and pantry operations preferred.
• Interest in nutrition, food security, or basic needs.

Responsibilities

• Work 26–29 hours per week.
• Ensure pantries follow Utah Food Bank standards.
• Regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Transport supplies across the pantry network weekly using large-capacity vehicles.
• Oversee daily pantry operations and take regular inventory.
• Coordinate restocking strategies with supervisor.
• Stock pantries with supplies from various sources.
• Maintain budgets and track expenses.
• Provide friendly customer service to pantry visitors.
• Support coverage during breaks and finals.
• Drive to multiple campuses and comply with policies.
• Address performance concerns for student peer leaders.
