Job summary

LEGENDS Global Moscone Center in San Francisco is seeking a production cook to prepare menu items according to production sheets and LEGENDS Global standards. You will maintain quality, safety, and sanitary conditions, and follow all rules. You will prepare cold items and operate kitchen equipment under supervision.

Must be 18+ and have progressive experience as a production cook, plus knowledge of health codes. Union membership with Unite Here! Local 2 is preferred or willingness to join.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Progressively responsible experience as a production cook gained through apprenticeship or on-the-job training.
• Basic working knowledge of food service health codes and standards.
• Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.
• Must be a member in good standing of the local Union or be willing to become a member of Unite Here! Local 2

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items as directed on Production Sheet Follow recipes and menu as outlined by Catering by LEGENDS Global standard recipe book or as directed
• Maintain quality food production standards of Catering By LEGENDS Global
• Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment.
• Prepare cold food items including but not limited to; salads, sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, as instructed by Production Sheet or Manager.
• Follows all rules and regulations of Catering by LEGENDS Global
• Safely operates all equipment used at the location.
• Maintains safety, sanitation, and health code standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Executive Chef/Sous Chef/ Manager/Supervisor
