Goforth Williamson, Inc. (GWI) seeks a Panel Shop Foreman to lead the panel shop, ensuring custom control panels meet strict standards and deadlines. This role drives quality, safety, and efficiency in a growing Controls Division.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, experience in panel fabrication per UL 508A, and a passion for delivering high-quality work on schedule. Located in Georgia, this position offers growth within a respected engineering team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising/ coordinating control panel manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of electrical schematics required.
• Proficiency in building industrial control panels per UL 508A standards.
• Familiarity with shop safety practices.
• Ability to functionally test basic control panels for operation.
• Experience enforcing quality control to ensure panels leave the shop in good condition.
• Strong leadership and communication to mentor a team.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of panel shop employees, ensuring work meets specs, is on time, and UL standards.
• Coordinate scheduling and resources to meet production timelines.
• Develop a program for overtime to handle emergencies.
• Liaise between panel shop and engineering to resolve design issues.
• Inspect panels for quality before shipment.
• Document progress using project tracking software.
• Maintain stock levels of inventory and tools, order replenishments.
• Ensure the shop is organized, clean, and safe.
