Summary

Responsible for setting up, running, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on assigned machines and supporting equipment. Inspects grating to specifications, makes necessary adjustments, and tool changes to maintain quality. Drives performance based on safety, quality, productivity, and profitability metrics. This role involves leading and collaborating with team members, requiring effective communication, coordination, and training skills.

Responsibilities

1. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, following all procedures and safety practices.
2. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
3. Perform setup adjustments for first article success.
4. Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot press weld and supporting equipment.
5. Maintain communication with team and leadership regarding operational issues.
6. Identify and escalate non-conformances, minimizing scrap and rework.
7. Assist with loading and unloading components to meet productivity goals.
8. Participate in machine upkeep and preventative maintenance.
9. Complete paperwork accurately for inventory and job costing.
10. Keep work areas clean and organized.
11. Perform other duties and cross-train as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of machine operation experience and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools, overhead cranes, and forklifts safely.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Preferred: Experience with CNC machines, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Repetitive movements, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds with proper techniques. Work on the production floor with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and machine hazards, requiring PPE usage.
