Job summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an experienced Panel Designer to join our Electrical Manufacturing team. This role designs UL 508A control panels, develops PLC and HMI programs, and supports panel fabrication, FAT, startup and commissioning on custom engineered electrical systems.

You will work with engineering and manufacturing to read schematics and P&IDs, select components, and ensure NEC/NFPA 79 compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial controls or automation.
• Experience programming PLC and HMI systems.
• Ability to read/modify electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings.
• Design experience for UL 508A control panels and NEC/NFPA 79 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design UL 508A industrial control panels, electrical schematics, and panel layouts.
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for industrial automation systems.
• Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout project execution.
• Support FAT, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support.
