Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is a family-owned Systems Integration and I&C Construction firm delivering automation solutions from its Dallas headquarters.

The Panel Drafter role focuses on updating panel design drawings from designer and customer markups while upholding company standards. You'll read diagrams, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, perform panel power/heat calculations, and update PLC and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and AutoCAD training and/or experience.
• Read, analyze, and interpret diagrams and documentation; respond to questions from customers and coworkers.
• Attention to detail; ability to follow company and customer standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a project environment.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets customer diagrams and documentation and communicates with project team to understand objectives and preferences.
• Confer with engineering staff, manufacturing staff and other personnel to resolve problems.
• Performs panel power and heat calculations.
• Performs updates to panel layout and detail drawings based on markups in accordance with company and customer standards.
• Performs updates to PLC module and electrical drawings based on markups in accordance with company and customer standards.
• Performs self and peer review checks of panel drawings.
