Job summary

Daikin Applied, located in Faribault, MN, is hiring for a sheet metal fabrication/assembly role. The position involves reading blueprints, operating tools, and assembling panels in a climate-controlled facility.

You will inspect material, follow engineering specs, and participate in safety training. The role requires basic reading in English, High School or GED (or two years of related manufacturing experience), and adherence to 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods.
• High School Education or GED required or at least 2 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read written English and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products.
• Visually inspect incoming sheet metal material to ensure product meets quality standards.
• Spot weld, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk or bond component parts to assemble panels.
• Inspect assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.
• Operate computer equipment to read drawings using DocVu, VKS and AMS.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment as directed.
• Coordinate workflow and communications to meet production needs.
• Train new team members on machines, procedures and safety.
• Maintain 5S in the workspace and follow safety guidelines.
