Job summary

COMPUMATION is seeking a panel builder to join our Addison, IL design and manufacturing team. You will install machine controls on custom automation equipment, build and wire panels from scratch, and read electrical schematics to wire I/O.

Responsibilities include field wiring, pneumatic plumbing, mounting components, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and providing progress updates to management. Some roles are part-time and others full-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or technical school coursework.
• 2+ years of experience wiring automated equipment.
• Ability to use variety of hand/power tools and test equipment related to panel builder duties.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to read/understand electrical schematics.

• Pneumatic plumbing; read and understand Pneumatic schematics.

• Troubleshoot and debug; diagnose trouble or defects, determine corrective action and repair system.
• Ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition after troubleshooting.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components.
• Provide status updates to management on assigned projects.
