Job summary

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Salvagnini Operator for our client in the Eastern Columbus, Ohio area. This is a full-time position on the second shift with initial training on the first shift.

The role focuses on learning with experienced staff, supporting shop floor operations, and cross-training across departments. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years’ machining or metal fabrication experience and strong print-reading skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years in Machining, Press Brake, bending, or Metal Fabrication.
• Strong print reading and interpretation skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to measure parts accurately.
• Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs on a 10-hour shift.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Train and work in tandem with experienced and seasoned associates already on staff.
• Support various departments on the shop floor.
• Participate in on-the-job cross-training.

Experience Required

• 1-2 years of experience in Machining, Press Brake, bending, or Metal Fabrication.

Required Skills

• Top-notch print reading and interpretation skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to accurately measure and record part dimensions using calipers, protractor, and squares.
• Demonstrated detail orientation.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a Job Shop environment.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality standards is beneficial.
• Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull, and push during a 10-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (average parts run 2-25 lbs).

Preferred General Fabrication Skills

• Ability to learn hardware insertion tasks.
• Operate finishing equipment such as a Fladder, hand grinders, and deburring equipment.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use a variety of power/air and hand tools including a rivet gun.
• High attention to detail and fine tactical ability.
• Pallet jack experience.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

This position varies somewhat in assignment based on the needs of the business, so no day is exactly the same. We operate in a job shop production environment and require someone who is very dependable, able to meet the physical demands of the position, and open to coaching and training.
