Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC seeks a Manufacturing Equipment Operator to join the Protection and Automation Panel Assembly Workshop on first shift. You will operate CNC, KOMAX, and laser-marking equipment to machine panel components, cut wires, and identify parts.

The role emphasizes following standardized work, quality, safety, and willingness to rotate across production stations. You will set up machines, monitor runs, perform basic troubleshooting, and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in manufacturing or machine-operating environment.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety, and quality standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and use of common hand tools.
• Willingness to cross-train and rotate among multiple stations.
• Basic English for reading instructions and safety notes.
• Able to lift parts up to 50 pounds.
• US work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment to cut, drill, or machine panel components per drawings and work instructions.
• Operate KOMAX or similar wire-processing equipment to cut, strip, terminate wires and assemble bundles.
• Operate laser-marking and tube-marking equipment to identify components, wires, and tubing.
• Set up equipment, load materials, and verify machine settings before production.
• Monitor production runs and address conditions affecting safety, quality, or output.
• Inspect machined components, wire terminations, bundles, labels, and markings for conformance.
• Perform routine changeovers, operator adjustments, and basic troubleshooting per procedures.
• Escalate equipment, tooling, programming, material, or quality issues when needed.
• Follow standardized work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Keep workstation organized and prevent damage or mix-ups in handling materials.
• Cross-train and rotate among CNC, wire-processing, laser-marking, and related stations.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues to the team.
