HOTEL PASEO is seeking a Cook II in Palm Desert, CA to ensure quality control of items prepared in our kitchens. The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities in a boutique luxury environment within Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Responsibilities include preparing station-specific items, monitoring storage and portion sizes, and maintaining rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards to meet Health Department regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience required; 1–2 years in a similar role preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a high-noise kitchen and work under heat.

Responsibilities

• Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Monitor storage, portion sizes, and items like stocks and sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization to meet Health Department regulations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
• Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
