Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a compassionate Palliative Care RN for Billings, Montana to provide holistic, patient- and family-centered care during serious illness. The role emphasizes symptom management, education, and coordinated care with an interdisciplinary team.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no routine nights, weekends, or holidays. The position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice; compact license transfers within 60 days of employment.
• BSN from an accredited program; education will be verified.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with <12 months experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and serve as navigator for palliative care patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate on symptom management plans.
• Triage calls and concerns from patients and families.
• Coordinate services across primary, specialty, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the journey.
