The Henry Ford Medical Group Division of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is seeking a physician for the role of Senior Staff Physician in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. This position involves patient care, teaching, scholarly work, and clinical leadership within the Palliative Medicine Program at Henry Ford Hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an Attending Physician on the inpatient Palliative Medicine Consultative Service at Henry Ford Hospital.
• Supervise and train medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners, including serving as core faculty for the ACGME-accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program.
• Participate in scholarly activities such as education, quality improvement, and research.

Based on interest and skills, the physician may also:

• Serve as an attending physician in palliative clinics, inpatient hospice, or community hospice.
• Potentially serve as medical director for a home-based palliative care program.
• Facilitate communication skills education through the program, CLEAR Conversations.
• Help develop hospital protocols related to pain, symptom management, advance care planning, and end-of-life care.

Qualifications:

• Initial board certification in a primary specialty.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or equivalent experience.
