Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a board-certified/eligible Palliative Medicine Physician to join our expanding program in southern New Jersey, serving Perth Amboy and Old Bridge. The role is 100% clinical, combining inpatient and outpatient care, with a multidisciplinary team including an NP, social worker, and chaplain.

You will contribute to teaching opportunities with residents and students, and may pursue a faculty appointment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Palliative Medicine with fellowship training OR 2+ years of experience in the HPM field.
• Team-oriented physician with ability to manage emotionally challenging situations and provide personalized patient/family support.
• Must hold or be eligible for a current NJ Medical License, DEA, and CDS.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered palliative care in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver pain and symptom management.
• Participate in developing best practices and clinical protocols across the system.
