Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated Palliative Care Physician to join our expanding program in southern New Jersey. This 100% clinical role provides patient-centered care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings within a strong multidisciplinary team.

The role offers opportunities for teaching residents and students, potential faculty appointment, and a leadership path in developing a future HPM fellowship, with a balanced call schedule and a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Palliative Medicine with fellowship training OR 2+ years of experience in the HPM field.
  • Team-oriented physician with ability to manage emotionally challenging situations and provide personalized patient and family support.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a current NJ Medical License, DEA, and CDS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 100% clinical care in inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated, board-certified/eligible Palliative Medicine Physician to join our successful and expanding program in the southern New Jersey region. This is a 100% clinical role focused on providing exceptional, patient-centered care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.

You will join a thriving, multidisciplinary team—including a full-time nurse practitioner, social worker, and chaplain to deliver comprehensive pain and symptom management. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a system-wide effort to integrate palliative care, develop best practices, and truly make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Palliative Medicine with fellowship training OR 2+ years of experience in the HPM field.

Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
