The Palliative Care Practice of MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated palliative care physician to join our rapidly growing team at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, ME. This unique position offers a 50-50 job split between inpatient palliative care and ambulatory palliative care as an embedded member of the oncology team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families facing serious illness.

This full-time position offers:

  • The opportunity to provide comprehensive palliative care consultations for hospitalized patients focusing on symptom management, advanced care planning, and psychosocial support.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and spiritual care to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • The ability to provide outpatient palliative care services to patients undergoing cancer treatment as an embedded member of the oncology practice.
  • The chance to help increase access to specialty palliative care across MaineHealth Medical Group.
