Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Palliative Care at Delp Pavilion F. The RN will serve as a clinical expert, promoting evidence-based nursing interventions and educating patients and staff.

Required: BSN, 2+ years RN experience, BLS, Kansas RN license; preferred: MSN and Nurse Compact License (NCL). The role supports quality improvement and cross-disciplinary collaboration within a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• RN with Bachelor Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of RN experience.
• Preferred Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Current BLS certification within 14 days of hire; valid licensure in Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Participates in quality improvement initiatives using data and benchmarks.
• Applies teaching/learning and health literacy to education for patients and providers.
• Collaborates with inter professional team and participates in hospital committees.
• Demonstrates leadership and mentors colleagues; fosters team-building.
• Promotes safe patient care and implements evidence-based nursing interventions.
