Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to lead patient-centered care and collaborate with the hospital team. You will assess, plan, and implement care for adults and families, with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires a master’s or doctoral NP, NJ prescriptive authority, and strong communication skills. Night and weekend coverage is included as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Prescriptive authority under NJ regulations and CDS/DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive histories and physicals appropriate for patient age and condition.
• Order, perform, and interpret labs and diagnostics in collaboration with physicians.
• Provide safe, effective pharmacologic care with patient education as required.
• Promote APN practice recognition through conferences, publications, and presentations.
• Ensure patient- and family-centered care aligned with standards and ethics.
