MaineHealth is seeking an experienced palliative care physician to join as Associate Medical Director of Palliative Care, blending clinical work with leadership responsibilities across MaineHealth Medical Group.

The role focuses on program development, quality improvement, recruitment, and mentoring within an interdisciplinary team, with protected administrative time to support leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Interest in medical leadership, quality improvement, and program development.
• Previous leadership experience welcomed but not required.

Responsabilités

• Provide inpatient and/or ambulatory palliative care services and partner with leadership to support growth.
• Lead program development, quality improvement, recruitment, mentorship, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Partner with Senior Medical Director and operational leadership to shape future of specialty palliative care.
• Participate in physician recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, and provider development.
• Maintain protected administrative time to support Associate Medical Director responsibilities.
