Job summary
Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our Palliative Care team. The APP will provide acute care for palliative and cancer patients, with clinic and hospital rounding across Mount Carmel facilities.
The role mainly follows a daytime, Monday to Friday schedule with occasional Saturday shifts. Required education includes a Masters in Science, Nursing or related specialty and APN program completion, with Ohio RN licensure.
Qualifications
- Masters degree required in science, nursing or a specialty field
- Graduate of an advanced practitioner program
- Current Ohio RN license; ANCC certification preferred
- Physician Assistant considered as well
- BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP/EFM/PALs for some depts
- DEA license or ability to obtain
- 2–3 years APP experience in palliative care preferred
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Manage care of palliative and cancer patients
- See patients in clinic and round in Mount Carmel Hospitals
- Primary shift: days, Mon–Fri 8am–5pm with occasional Saturday
- Adhere to scope and standards of practice and organizational policies
