Palletizer Operator - G Shift

Shift: Monday – Tuesday 09:30 pm - 06:00 am, Saturday Sunday 05:30 pm - 05:30 am.

Hourly wage: $28.34, plus $2.00 per hour shift differential.

Location: York, PA facility manufacturing and distributing products such as Vitafusion Vitamins, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Laundry Detergent.

Role Summary

This position will assist the Warehouse Coordinator in directing workflow and scheduling functions in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution facility.

Duties and Responsibilities (essential job functions)

• Promote a safety culture and adhere to plant safety policies.
• Direct product workflow from stretch wrappers to storage locations.
• Maintain adequate supply of empty pallets for palletizer utilization.
• Coordinate changeovers of palletizers and stretch wrappers.
• Coordinate end of work orders with Manufacturing Technical Line Operators and other operations personnel.
• Ensure line clearance during changeover to new work order.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on palletizers, stretch wrappers, pallet labeling system (PLS) and associated equipment.
• Supply raw materials to equipment in palletizer area (stretch wrap, labels, ribbon, etc.).
• Inspect pallets against quality standards and document results.
• Assist with training and certification program as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in distribution operations, including equipment, materials, workflow, WMS and forklift operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Preferred Education, Training, and Experience Requirements

• Preferred experience working on a standup forklift.
• Mechanical and technical ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.

• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong communication skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media (verbal, written, etc.).
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Strong organizational/time-management skills.

Required Training

Candidates must complete all necessary trainings within the defined introductory period.

Working Conditions

The operations are not in a climate-controlled environment; candidates will be exposed to seasonal temperature variations. All candidates must abide by PPE standards and department dress code.
