About The Opportunity

DC Material Handler – Shift 985: Monday & Tuesday 3:30 pm–11:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday 6:00 am–6:00 pm.

Hourly wage: $27.50 plus shift premiums.

Location: Fostoria, OH facility manufacturing A&H Baking Soda, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Unit Dose Detergent.

Role Summary

Load and unload finished goods, stock transfer orders, and transfers to Church & Dwight customers and outside distribution centers. Build pick pallets.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate sit‑down, stand‑up, and pallet riders proficiently.
• Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and to specification.
• Build pick pallets to pick list.
• Maintain necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance inspections.
• Maintain a clean department by sweeping and discarding trash at the end of each shift.
• Work with Church & Dwight carriers and customers in a highly professional manner.
• Be proficient in WMS to load or unload trucks in a timely manner.
• Read and understand the pick list (quantity, product type, lot codes, and product version codes) to fill the customer’s order.
• Operate stretch wrapper to secure load on pallet.
• Familiar with the plant food‑safety program and basic HACCP principles.
• Work any shift during the week as well as weekends.

• Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products.

Physical Requirements

The role requires exposure to moving machinery, chemical fumes, heat/cold, concrete surfaces, slippery surfaces, repetitive motion, chemicals, noise, dust particulates, forklift batteries, step stool/ladder, forklift/jack, power hand tools, computer, power machinery, box cutter, respirator, hearing protection, steel‑toe shoes and gloves.

Major physical tasks include forklift operation, order picking (lifting items up to 44 lbs), walking throughout the shift, and repalletizing. Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and pushing/pulling are common. Shift duration may range from 8 to 12 hours.
