Job summary

Salm Partners in Wisconsin is seeking a Packaging Operator to support the Rapid Pak production line, performing packaging, sleeving, and case packing, plus sanitation duties. The role covers 1st-3rd shifts with overtime as needed.

You will monitor supplies, operate palletizing equipment, manage codes and labels, and ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, and USDA standards. Strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in cold environments are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED normally required.
• Previous forklift and material handling experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing conditions.
• Must be able to read and understand written and spoken English.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor packaging supplies to ensure adequate stock for the shift; coordinate deliveries for restock.
• Set up and operate palletizing shrink wrapper, case label and date coding equipment per specs.
• Monitor and adjust film, Zebra printer and date codes as needed.
• Inspect finished product for correct labeling, sealing and customer specs.
• Stack finished boxes onto pallets in correct pallet patterns and shrink wrap.
• Enter pallet data into the computer system with product and pallet information.
• Ensure product is separated by code dates and moved to the correct cooler bay.
