Job summary

PLA is seeking a GMA Pallet Repair Technician to inspect, repair, and rebuild pallets with consistent quality. Based in Dallas, TX, you’ll support daily production goals and ensure pallets meet safety and quality standards.

You’ll use hand and power tools to identify damage, replace boards, and perform final inspections. Safety, attention to detail, and teamwork with facility staff are essential for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in pallet repair, woodworking, carpentry, or construction.
• Ability to operate various saws safely in a fast-paced line.
• Strong attention to detail to detect defects or inconsistencies.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Any combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pallets for damage, wear, and structural issues; determining the appropriate level of repair.
• Performing repairs with precision to ensure consistent, high‑quality results.
• Using hand and power tools to remove, replace, or reinforce pallet boards and components.
• Meeting or exceeding daily production targets.
• Identifying and understanding the different types and grades of pallets.
• Conducting final evaluations of completed pallets to ensure they meet PLA quality standards.
• Operating and maintaining hand tools, power tools, and repair equipment.
• Inspecting equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Adjusting or calibrating equipment settings as required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workstation; following all safety protocols.
• Escalating technical or process issues to leadership promptly.
• Partnering effectively with facility staff to support smooth operations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
