Job summary

CHEP is hiring a 2nd Shift Pallet Repair Operator in Orlando, Florida. In this full-time role you will repair pallets by removing defective boards, replacing with new ones, and nailing them into place, using a pneumatic nail gun and a reciprocating saw.

The shift runs Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM with starting pay of $19.30 per hour and a $0.75 per hour shift differential. You will stand for long periods and lift pallets weighing 60–75 lbs, following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Repair operators must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
• Must also be able to concentrate on tasks.
• Ability to understand and communicate information.

Responsibilities

• Use a pneumatic nail gun & reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
• In a repair department place pallet on repair table, remove defective boards, replace with new boards, and nail replaced boards into place.
• Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
• Stand for long periods of time and lift pallets weighing 60-75 lbs.
• Operate nail guns safely following company procedures.
