Job summary

CHEP USA is looking for a Pallet Repair Operator to join their team in the United States. Job Summary

CHEP is a global leader in the movement of goods, operating 300million pallets, crates and containers across 60 countries. We are seeking a Pallet Repair Operator to work at the frontline of our supply chain, applying automation and technology to maintain and repair pallets efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pallet Repair: Execute full repair of pallet components following guidelines, including removal and replacement of defective boards.
  • Efficiency & Productivity: Meet daily production targets while handling pallets (~60–75lb) and operating a pneumatic nail gun and reciprocating saw.
  • Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections to identify defects and ensure repair standards are met.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and report hazards immediately.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance of machinery (nail gun, saw) as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Physical strength, hand‑eye coordination, and endurance for lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks and understand/communicate information effectively.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
  • 2+ years previous experience in an industrial, fast‑moving setting with machinery.
