Job summary

48forty Solutions is hiring a Pallet Repair Reman to build and repair pallets from recycled materials at our Henderson facility. You’ll learn pallet assembly, inspect repaired pallets, and work with production supervisors to meet daily quotas in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers hourly pay with training at $19.50/hr, then $16.00/hr plus piece rate, and a range up to $32.00/hr. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred.
• Must have quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality.
• Observance of all safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardized requirements exist.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Demonstrated experience safely operating air-driven, electric, pneumatic, and manual woodworking tools.
• Previous experience in welding, lumbering, construction, carpentry, or roofing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Return damaged pallets to service-ready condition using appropriate tools and methods.
• Communicate with Production Supervisors, Assistant Plant Manager, and Plant Manager.
• Examine repaired pallets to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Must maintain a clean & safe working environment that meets 48forty’s standards.
• Build the given number of pallets, once training is complete.
• Repair the given number of pallets, once training is complete.
• Expected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely.
• Stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
• Check loads to make sure they are secure.
