Job summary

Sysco Knoxville, LLC is seeking an Operations team member to load pre-assembled merchandise and pallets for shipment, following supervision and safety guidelines. The role involves preparing products for transport, loading/unloading, and ensuring load stability for safe delivery.

The ideal candidate will have at least a GED/high school diploma and prior warehouse exposure, including experience with pallet jack or forklift equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 months warehouse experience preferred.
• 3 months experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift preferred.
• Previous Sysco or foodservice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads shipments, lifting boxes weighing up to 100 pounds each.
• Loads trucks according to truck mapping and special instructions.
• Packs product to avoid damages and maintain load stability for driver safety.
• Wraps pallets by machine or hand to ensure stability.
• Unloads and cleans out trucks as necessary.
• Operates stock trucks and mechanical jacks safely and efficiently.
• Prepares products for shipment by weighing, handling and transporting as required.
• Marks, addresses, loads, and packs product for proper delivery and condition.
