Job summary

Gildan is seeking a warehouse worker to remove cartons from a special order belt, sort them onto wooden pallets by customer, and wrap pallets for staging. This role emphasizes safety, basic equipment use, and steady physical work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include handling pallets, moving loads with a pallet jack, and maintaining housekeeping. Training and orientation are provided, with opportunities to grow within a large apparel manufacturing company.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
• Must be able to learn to use the equipment required to complete task
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time
• Must be able to perform all functions of the job safely
• Must complete company new hire and safety orientation

Responsibilities

• Obtain pallet jack and wooden pallet
• Monitor the special order handling belt for cartons
• Remove cartons from the belt and place on wooden pallets by customer
• Cut tape and breakdown boxes as needed; Stack on pallet; wear approved cutting gloves
• Secure full pallets with plastic wrap
• Move secured pallet to designated staging area and obtain another empty pallet
• Perform general housekeeping duties in work area during and at the end of shift
• Perform any additional duties as specified by supervisor
