Job summary

Sysco Alaska is seeking a Warehouse Associate to hand-build pallets, follow pick sheets, and load trailers safely and efficiently.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, maintain a clean, safe warehouse, and communicate with management about issues. A high school diploma or GED and 6 months of warehouse experience are preferred; forklift certification is a plus. Overtime may be required. Must be able to lift up to 50–90 pounds and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 6 months warehouse experience preferred.
• Certifications: Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.
• Communication: Read, write and communicate in English for safety and job duties.

Responsibilities

• Read pick sheets and travel to warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
• Pick product type and quantity, label items, and load pallets on trucks.
• Handle products and build pallets per food safety procedures to prevent damage and contamination.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety; address spills or damages.
• Communicate issues to management (inventory, safety, quality).
• Operate forklift and pallet jack safely; report equipment issues.
• Complete paperwork and track time using wearable computer for productivity.
• Maintain regular, overtime as needed to meet workload demands.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
