Job summary

Dinosaur Ridge, located in Jefferson County, Colorado, seeks a Manager of Camps and Collections to supervise the state-certified collections repository and exhibit collections, including acquisition, documentation, housing, and preservation of specimens. The role also co-leads paleontology-related camp Experiences for youth and other age groups, aligning with our mission and scientific outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in science, collections management, or science education.
• Able to pass background checks and childcare licensing requirements.
• Experience with fossil handling and museum curation preferred.
• Willingness to work 5 days a week, including weekends.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in education and science outreach.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of collections care and documentation.
• Oversee storage, handling, and exhibit curation.
• Co-lead paleontology-themed camps for youth.
• Coordinate with SHPO, JCOS, and local partners.
• Represent the organization at professional meetings.
• Develop SOPs and support staff and volunteers.
