Job summary

Emmons Painting Service LLC is looking for a skilled painter to handle exterior and interior work on client properties. You will prepare surfaces, apply finishes, and help train new recruits to follow an organized workflow.

You will manage supplies, maintain safety per OSHA/MSDS, and report to a supervisor. Driving to and from the main office is required, using the company vehicle and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Experience painting exterior or interior surfaces.
• Ability to train new recruits on organized workflow.
• Compliance with OSHA/MSDS guidelines and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Paints exterior and/or interior areas of properties as directed.
• Prepares areas by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, masking.
• Maintains inventory of painting supplies and reports to supervisor.
• Puts away paint and supplies after project completion.
• May assist with special maintenance projects.

Job Description

Paints exterior and/or interior areas of the company’s properties along with training new recruits with organized work flow. Maintains employees time schedule, vehicles, and reports to a direct supervisor.

Prepares area(s) to be painted by cleaning, or if necessary, scraping, sanding, patching and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc.

• Maintains inventory of paint, paint brushes, and other painting supplies in accordance with Management’s instructions.
• Paints areas as instructed by maintenance supervisor or property manager, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications.
• Follows OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to use of hazardous chemicals; uses proper ventilation when using paint removers, varnishes, cleaners, etc.
• Familiarizes him/herself with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc.
• Thoroughly cleans area, supplies and equipment when project is completed.
• Puts remaining paint and supplies in proper location.
• May assist with special maintenance projects as needed.
