Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Facilities Painter to perform interior and exterior painting across commercial facilities, ensuring quality prep and finish while upholding safety and minimizing disruption.

Responsibilities include patching, priming, estimating materials and timelines, maintaining supplies, and completing routine maintenance and repairs to building systems. This is an on-site Devens, MA role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Position Overview

The Facilities Painter is responsible for performing interior and exterior painting and coating applications across commercial facilities. This role ensures high-quality surface preparation and finish work while maintaining safety standards and minimizing disruption to building operations.

Essential Functions

• Patch and paint office, outside and controlled work environments
• Manage free stock inventory of painting supplies and notify supervisors when materials need replenishment
• Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general repair tasks to maintain buildings
• Estimate material quantities and project timelines accurately
• Perform the repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildings
• Specialized patching and painting within iso graded space
• Tenting and securing of area to prevent particulate generating activities from affecting iso graded space
• Repairs to swing doors including strikes, hinges, crash bars, security controls including mag locks, passage sets and locksets
• Maintenance and repairs of automatic doors including swing and roll up
• General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems
• Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned
• Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture and controllers
• Maintain and complete documentation for safety equipment, doors, roofs, and other building systems
• Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations
• Maintain assigned and shop tools and equipment in proper working condition
• Respond effectively to all emergencies
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas
• Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
• Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed
• Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection
• Any and all other duties assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable; 3+ years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical
• Ability to read, understand and follow SOP’s for procedures, buildings and equipment
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft office and CMMS experience a plus
• Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Must have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ft.
• Must have the ability to regularly walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, etc. in order to test and perform maintenance
• Must have or be able to obtain Aerial and Boom lift certificates (performed in house)

Compensation

Estimated compensation for this position is: 54,080.00 – 62,400.00 USD. The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
