Job description

New Albany Country Club is looking to hire an Experienced Professional Painter.

The position is primarily Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. This is a seasonal summer position.

Job Description

• Apply paint to walls, furniture, and structures.
• Wash, scrape, sand, and/or smooth interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, lacquering, or applying other related materials.
• Install, repair, and maintain drywalls, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.
• Erect various types of staging, ladders, and planks to reach surfaces of the work area.
• Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior surfaces, trimming, and fixtures.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes.
• Assist with small maintenance projects alongside the maintenance team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills

• Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
• Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal.
• Identification, safe handling, and disposal of paints, stains, and other hazardous materials.
• Skill in surface preparation and application of paints and stains to various surfaces.

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous interior and exterior painting experience, detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of all paint and stain types.
• A positive and professional attitude.
