Job description

New Albany Country Club is looking to hire an Experienced Professional Painter.

The position is primarily Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. This is a seasonal summer position.

Job Description

• Apply paint to walls furniture and structures.
• Washes scrapes, sands, and/or smooth interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, lacquering or applying other related materials.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains drywalls, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.
• Erects various types, staging, ladders, and planks to reach surfaces of work area for Painters and others.
• Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior painted surfaces, trimming and fixtures.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes.
• Other duties as assigned.
• please note that this individual will also be responsible for helping with small maintenance projects alongside the maintenance team.
  
  
  

Job Skills:

• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
• Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal.
• Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.
• Skill in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces.
  
  
  

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Previous interior and exterior experience, detail orientated.
• Knowledge of all paint and stain types.
