Position Summary
Lincoln Electric Products Co Inc. is seeking a Painter - Powder Coating to join its dynamic team. This role is available immediately and provides a great growth opportunity for the right candidate. It is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Fabrication Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow all principles and practices of powder coating and painting application.
- Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
- Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
- Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections.
- Match different texture coats.
- Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations.
- Ensure all components are produced/coated efficiently and meet quality and on-time delivery standards.
- Maintain safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Hang/Rack and Un-rack parts.
- Ability to bend over and pick up items from the floor if needed.
- Properly clean and maintain equipment and chemical solutions.
- Communicate effectively and interpret job instructions verbally and in writing.
- Work with a team of welders, fabricators, powder coaters, and assemblers.
- Build equipment reliably and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Maintain records, work status, and supply inventory.
- Collaborate with quality, supply chain, engineering, and assembly departments.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as required, with flexibility to cross-train within the department.
- Keep work area, tools, and equipment tidy and organized.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience as a painter with liquid or powder paint; preference for powder painting experience.
- Ability to organize paint line and orders for optimal efficiency.
- Consistently produce quality finishes.
- Experience hanging parts to optimize paint booth and oven use.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Experience with hand tools and measuring devices.
- Energetic, dependable self-starter.
- Work environment is loud; hearing protection required.
- Must be able to stand for most of the shift and lift 70+ lbs.
Education
- High School Diploma required.
- Trade School certification is a plus.
- Fork Truck and Crane operation certifications are a plus.
