Job Title: Painter-Plant Operations

Location: Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester

Description:

Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a qualified Painter to join our team. We are a Joint Commission-accredited hospital serving south-central Tennessee with locations in Winchester and Sewanee. Winchester offers a charming small-town atmosphere with easy access to larger cities like Chattanooga, Nashville, and Huntsville. The area boasts excellent schools, a strong economy with major employers such as Nissan and Arnold Engineering, and abundant outdoor recreational activities including fishing, hiking, camping, and golfing at The Bear Trace designed by Jack Nicklaus. Nearby Lynchburg is home to the historic Jack Daniel's distillery.

Job Summary:

The Painter will perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems, and structures throughout the facility and clinics. The role requires travel to various hospital and outpatient locations, with travel expected to be greater than 75% of the time.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Completion of a program in a relevant discipline such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades.

Minimum Work Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in a multi-skilled trade, with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC experience preferred.

Required Skills:

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under stress and take appropriate actions.
• Must complete Driver History for the Fleet program, provide current personal auto insurance, and pass background checks.

Driver Requirements:

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle operated.
• Proof of automobile liability insurance with minimum limits of $100,000 per person/per accident if using a personal vehicle for work.
• Adherence to all safety regulations, including seat belt use and compliance with vehicle laws.
