Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Painter II in the Paint Shop to perform skilled brush, roller, and spray painting and apply finishes to decorate and protect interiors and exteriors of district buildings. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, erect ladders, deliver supplies, process work orders, and keep accurate records of materials used while ensuring safety procedures.

• Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency.
• Clear and valid Texas Driver's License.
• 3 years’ experience as a painter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and filling holes.
• Paint surfaces with brushes, rollers, or spray methods; apply stains, varnishes, and finishes.
• Erect rigs, scaffolding, and ladders; convey supplies to campuses; complete work orders.
• Maintain inventory and records of materials used and labor.
• Inspect completed jobs and ensure areas are clean and safe.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
