Job summary

Responsibilities

Performs painting tasks at schools and/or in a shop or fixed site.
Paints interior and exterior surfaces such as walls, ceilings, doors, trim and bases.
Scrapes, sands and prepares surfaces for paint.
Applies stain, primer, and multiple coats of shellac, varnish or paint.
Lay out and paints lines on playgrounds, athletic courts and parking lots; may use stencils.
Keeps vehicle supplied with tools and adequate materials.
Responds to emergency call-outs (7 days a week/24 hours).
May work night and/or varying shifts.
Follows all safety regulations related to job functions.
Performs other maintenance duties as assigned (parking lot repair, moving furniture, crisis response).
