Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Painter I for the 2nd shift to safely operate the powder coat paint line, load and unload parts, and handle hanging and rack loading to ensure parts are ready for assembly.

A High School diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years of experience are required. Candidates should be detail oriented, able to follow procedures, communicate effectively, work well in a team, and perform in a high-heat environment.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of manufacturing/painting experience preferred.
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Load, transfer, and unload parts on the paint line.
  • Hang/rack parts for paint application and ensure proper processing.
  • Inspect parts before and after finishing to verify quality.
  • Maintain safe work practices and housekeeping per policy.
  • Assist with stock handling and keep work area clean.

Paint Hangers safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line. The Paint Hangers are expected to move efficiently and safely with the end result being a ready to use part or assembly.Major ResponsibilitiesLoading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paint lineProcess each part by hanging/racking to paint applicationInspect quality of parts before and after finishing processPerform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment, work habits and performing appropriate housekeeping duties)Constantly work in a constantly high heat environmentInspect quality of parts before and after finishing processExchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-offMaintain proper countsReport all scrapPerform stock handling duties as requiredMaintain a clean work environmentMinimum Job RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent0-2 years of experienceDetail oriented and organizedAdditional Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicateAbility to understand and execute basic standard proceduresAbility to perform basic reading and writing skillsAbility to effectively work in a team environmentAbility to troubleshoot and problem solve Ability to communicate and work well with othersA positive attitude, assertive, dependable, and energeticA strong focus on quality of workPreferred Job RequirementsPrevious experience with powder paint systemsPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
