Job summary

Dover Corporation in Centerville, IA is seeking a Painter II to join our Operations team on the 3rd shift. This hourly, non-exempt role prepares surfaces, applies powder coating or wet paint, and inspects finished parts to meet quality standards.

You will move parts between stations, document work, identify quality issues, and maintain a safe, clean work area while following all safety procedures and instructions from the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prep parts for painting by cleaning and prepping surfaces
• Hang parts on the paint line and operate coating equipment
• Apply powder coat or wet paint to parts as required
• Remove painted parts and verify against documentation
• Identify poor quality parts and reporting issues
• Identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
• Use required safety equipment and apparel for each operation
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Prep parts for powder coating or wet painting by cleaning with lacquer thinner and rags
• Hang prepped parts on the paint line
• Apply powder coat to bare metal
• Removed painted parts from the paint line and match parts with the correct documentation
• Identify poor quality parts
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individuals product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned
