Job summary

DR Power LLP in Oshkosh, WI is hiring a Painter I for the weekend night shift (Saturday-Monday, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM). The role involves safely loading parts onto the powder coat line, preparing them for finishing, and ensuring quality throughout the process.

You will work in a high-heat environment, maintain a clean workspace, and follow established procedures. A high school diploma and 0-2 years of experience are required; experience with powder paint systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load, transfer, and unload parts on the paint line.
  • Hang/rack parts for powder coating.
  • Inspect parts before and after finishing.
  • Follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Work in a high heat environment.
  • Maintain clean work area and proper counts.
  • Report scrap and assist with stock handling.

Painter - The Paint Hanger is expected to safely complete supervised powder coat paint established procedures, processes, or policies. Paint Hangers safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line. Paint Hangers are expected to move efficiently and safely with the end result being a ready to use part or assembly.

Major Responsibilities
  • Loading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paint line
  • Process each part by hanging/racking to paint application
  • Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
  • Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment, work habits and performing appropriate housekeeping duties)
  • Constantly work in a constantly high heat environment
  • Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
  • Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off
  • Maintain proper counts
  • Report all scrap
  • Perform stock handling duties as required
  • Maintain a clean work environment
Minimum Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Detail oriented and organized

Preferred Job Requirements
  • Previous experience with powder paint systems
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
