Pay Information: Salary is based on official transcripts and verifications of work experience. Advanced coursework or experience may result in higher step.

FLSA Status: Exempt (does not accrue overtime)

Position Description: This part‑time/temporary faculty position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to assist adult students in a variety of educational programs. Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and/or off‑campus classes.

Major Responsibilities

• Support curriculum and teaching by delivering lecture and lab classes as assigned. Adjunct faculty must be available to students outside of class.
• Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
• Maintain professional conduct, ethics, and up‑to‑date subject matter knowledge.
• Fulfill the responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
• Teach all scheduled classes.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Create an environment that emphasizes learning and encourages discussion of ideas, interests, and issues.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of occupational experience related to the subject.
• An Associate degree AND six (6) years of occupational experience related to the subject.
• Full‑time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Building and Construction Trades.
• Equivalent credentials.

Desired Qualifications: Applicants with foreign degrees must have coursework evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation service. Equivalency requests can be submitted as requested.
