Pay Information: Salary determined by official transcripts; initial placement at first class step until transcripts received.

FLSA Status: Exempt (does not accrue overtime)

Position Overview: Part‑time adjunct or substitute instructor teaching construction technology courses. Candidates are added to a pool for future assignments on a semesterly basis.

Major Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver instruction in lecture and lab settings according to curriculum and course outlines.
• Be available to students for academic support outside of class.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
• Stay current on subject matter knowledge.
• Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member.
• Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records.
• Create a learning environment that encourages discussion of ideas and interests.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree AND two (2) years of occupational experience related to the course subject, or an Associate degree AND six (6) years of occupational experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Full‑time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Building and Construction Trades (or equivalent).
