Job summary

Pan-Oston Company in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a full-time Painter to read blueprints, prepare surfaces, and apply paint per specifications. You will identify materials, maintain quality, and ensure a clean, safe work area on the production line.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 1st shift, with flexibility to come in early or stay over as needed.
• Communication skills.
• Knowledge of production paint and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints or drawings.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, basic hand functions, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or shop drawings to determine method and sequence of paint.
• Identify and obtain all materials needed for project at hand by color, part number, and description.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted.
• Prepare and apply paint in accordance with paint manufacturer, blueprints, and/or customer specifications.
• Identify and report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product or equipment to supervisor.
• Maintain product quality with minimal unplanned stops.
• Load and Unload paint line at production rates.
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain paint supplies and equipment.
• Observe and follow company safety rules and training procedures to operate necessary equipment.
• Required to wear respirator.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned
