Martin Painting & Co. is hiring a Shop Painter to perform painting and coating work in a controlled shop environment. This role focuses on preparing surfaces, applying coatings, completing detail work, and maintaining organized work areas.

The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and safety awareness. Responsibilities include masking, surface preparation, coating application, touch-ups, and keeping tools and workspace clean, with opportunities for ongoing training and career

Qualifications

• Previous painting, shop, construction, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial or industrial painting is a plus.
• Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance.
• Available to work at least two weekends per month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items and surfaces before painting.
• Scrape, sand, clean, and prepare surfaces as required.
• Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and approved equipment.
• Complete touch-ups and detail work.
• Mask areas that should remain unpainted.
• Prepare materials and equipment for painting activities.
• Maintain painting tools and keep the shop clean and organized.
• Follow project specifications and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
