Job description

Job Title: Painter A/C & Maint A - 2nd Shift (Job Number: 331840)

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Apply dope, lacquer, paint, and other finishing materials to aircraft, equipment, and facilities.
  2. Prepare surfaces for painting by removing foreign substances and old or chipped paint.
  3. Mask surfaces not to be painted.
  4. Apply primers and fillers; rub intermediate coats for smooth, uniform finishes to prevent streaks and blemishes.
  5. Match colors for spot or repair jobs; prepare and mix paints to desired colors and consistencies.
  6. Polish final coats with wax or polishing compounds.
  7. Perform rework as required and execute lettering with stencils.
Tools and Equipment Used:
  • Paints, primers, lacquers, enamels, varnishes, and thinners.
  • Spray guns, pressure pots, air hoses, rollers, brushes.
  • Templates, trammel points, rules, measuring tapes, stencil cutting machines, etc.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years experience as an Aircraft Painter.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
