Job summary

Camtronics, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, seeks a Painter in Tulsa, OK for 2nd shift 3:30 pm–12:00 am, Mon–Fri. coating aerospace components with HVLP, pressure pots, and gravity-feed equipment. Responsibilities include painting, priming, and maintaining equipment per SOPs and WI.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, hands-on painting experience, mechanical aptitude, and ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.

Job description

Camtronics, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, a NYSE-traded company (NYSE: HEI) is seeking a painter. The painter position performs aerospace component coatings utilizing various equipment such as but not limited to HVLP, Pressure pot, and other various gravity feed paint equipment. 2nd Shift Position 3:30 pm - 12:00 AM Monday - Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Paint and primer of various components in accordance with applicable work instruction.
  • Manages preventive maintenance of all painting equipment.
  • Works to approved documentation such as Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
  • Use of hand tools may be required.
  • Document traceability of consumables and coatings within work orders/manufacturing orders.
  • Provides feedback to Production Supervisor regarding problems and issues involved in coating of products or documentation.
  • Adheres to company procedures and policies regarding personnel and quality issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:

  • Preferred work experience in manufacturing/production coating process.
  • Hands on production using painting equipment and hand tools
  • Mechanically inclined and detail oriented.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and drawings

Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:

  • Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills
  • Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; bend, squat, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The team member may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Painting procedures/techniques are repetitive in nature.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be subject to various chemicals and airborne particulates/fumes. Appropriate PPE must be worn during the process and will be provided by the company. The ability to wear a respirator is required. Team Member could be subject to moderate noise levels.
